Face Peeler 2 image

Here is  a small preview of something I have been working on. It is a 1/5th scale model of a possible belly tanker style salt falt car. I will have this on display at Barret Jackson and Grand National shows. So stop by and check it out if your at the shows. This scale model is inspired by one the sketches I drew from The Hot Rod Art Book :Masters Of chicken Scratch. It would consit of using old air craft parts and existing hot rod parts to create a new and unique style race car. It could have excisted in the past or can exist in the present. The intial design was mine but all 3D and cad develpment was done by Leo Zugner.

This is a concept for Bonneville Salt Flat car. It is not a real car but hopefully someday it will exist and be able to race on the Salt Flats. The idea behind it is a rear engine Belly tanker but modified in a more modern direction. It is more of a study and I am sure if it existed in real life it would need certain modifications. For now this is my vision and I really think it would look cool running on the Salt Flats. It started out as a sketch I had drawn for my book The Hot Rod Art Book: Masters of Chicken Scratch. You can see the original sketch on the top I will be doing updates on the design and I even have a story to explain the car a little more. So look for updates and new artwork for it along with 3D renderings of the final design. If you would like to be updated on the progress on my model you can sign up for the Masters of Chicken Scratch newsletter

Hot Wheels Scorcher Design

I still love my roots and where I came from and I got to design a basic car for Hot Wheels again.  The one thing I miss most is designing the basic cars for Hot Wheels so I was very excited when they asked me to design one again. So they gave me the design brief and it was to design an original drift car for Hot Wheels. So I started sketching and you can see a few my concept sketches at the top there. I was drawing anything from and exotic style drifter to a traditional style drifter. Then I rendered the final design and it went into the production phase. The car just came out in the 2010 line of Hot Wheels and it comes in red and blue. If you look closely you can see my Future Elements logo on the passenger side of the fender. So the final car was called Hot Wheels Scorcher. You can find it in any chain store to your local grocery store.

The Hot Rod Art Book, Masters of Chicken Scratch from Noe V. on Vimeo.

This was an interview put together by Noe V. We had a book signing at Auto Aero Books in Burbank California for The Hot Rod Art Book Masters of Chicken Scratch. Noe asked some great questions to each of us artist. Unfortunately Larry Wood had left by the time he started the interview. The guys featured in the video are James Owens, Dwayne Vance, Steve Stanford, Max Grundy and Mike Miernik. We talk about everything from the auto industry to what got us all into car art. This will be a moment in history when I look back and really enjoyed the time with those guys and how greatful I am that they participated with the book.

German Helmet Artwork

This here is a German helmet done for the Vintage Torque Fest put on by my buddy John Wells. I was very honored when John asked me to participate in the event, and since it is for the Helping Hannahs Heart foundation I couldn't say no. It was very diffrent to draw on the German helmet but I had a great time. I took the helmet and started drawing on it with a pencil and things evolved from there. Then used warm grey Copic markers and Sharpies to finish it up. So it is done and it is the Masters of Chicken Scratch German Helmet.
